I just got home from a wonderful vacation to New York and Williamsburg. I will try and have the pictures loaded in the next few days. Both places were filled with tons of fun things to do and most of all the time was spent with wonderful people. Too bad I have to come back to reality!

Mixed Feelings....

So some of you know that I have been working at a Mexican Restaurant Su Casa for around 8 years. Well, it has been fun! I have met lots of people there and made great friendships! Even though I haven't been working there recently I still visit frequently! Well, this Friday is the last day that it will be open.

I have known for a while that it was going to change over, and I think it is something that needs to happen. It will become Salt City Burger Company. I didn't think that I would really miss Su Casa that much, but now that it approaches I am feeling the sadness of seeing it go!

I worked there last night as a cook and I had a blast. I forgot how fun that place can be! It will be interesting to see how things change with the building and stuff but Su Casa will be missed. As for all of you that like eating there get it in while you can!

And don't worry there is still going to be the Su Casa in Midvale so I will get my fix there!

New House!

I moved in with a friend and I am loving it! It hasn't been very long but I can tell we are going to have a lot of fun! She bought a new townhouse and I wish that I had money to buy my own house, but I don't so I will just rent from her! Here are some pictures for those of you that have been bugging me about it!!

So as you have seen I live in a REALLY nice house! So if any of you would like to come stay you can! I have bunkbeds!

The friend I was throwing the baby shower for had her baby a week and a half early! I am excited to have baby Dominic around but sad I couldn't do the shower! I will have to do it later!

New Interests!

My new interests... I am throwing two of my friends showers for their upcoming wedding and baby! It has been a lot of fun making these and I am thinking of making them more often! I wish I would have gotten pictures of the baby shower ones they were so cute! These will have to do!

Moving...

I just thought I would let you all know I am moving to a townhouse! A friend of mine bought a townhouse and I am moving in this weekend! I am super excited and I will have to post pictures after we decorate!

I might have to work overtime these next few weeks!

I had a bad day today at work. I left feeling down and depressed. I then went with my friend Carley and bought this...



It made my day a lot better! I now should have some pretty decent pictures to post! But my consequence is I might have to work more this month to pay it off! Oh, it should be so worth it!

Traci, David, Leah and Lisa were all here for a short time so what does that mean? You got it a PARTY!!! So we had games, food and lots of talking! Oh how I love parties! Here are some of the festivities:

Croquet: Nothing like a good game of croquet. I didn't get very good pictures but my cousin Jamie did so I will have to get them from her!



Badminton: Thanks to Brad a friend at work we had a badminton set to play with. This was a lot of fun and now I have bought my very own set!




Sorry I have no pictures of the food, I forgot my camera at that point. But here is my mom and aunt and uncle talking. Lots of that happened!

It was such a fun party and I love getting together with family like that! Poor Leah was so worn out that night. She slept most of the time in her sleepy wrap!

Its been awhile... Hence the long post!

I know it has been forever since I have posted and I am trying the think of what I have done in these past months. I tired looking at my camera just to realize I haven't taken many pictures. Traci, my brother in law David, and Lisa were here for a short amount of time so I played with them as much as I could since I still had to go to school and work. We had an awesome party for them, (pictures to come) and I spent as much time as possible holding little Leah!

We also took some family pictures which were so funny because the photographer just took pictures. He didn't say one, two, three or anything just took a bunch and then said we are good! So we got the proofs back and I had to laugh because all of the pictures we are the same. The only person who changes is Leah. The first picture Leah is glaring at the camera and then the next one she notices her pretty dress and the rest of the pictures she is gradually getting closer to her dress until the last one when she has it in her mouth. What a funny girl. I will have to post some when I get the pictures.

What else happened this last chunk of time. About a month or two ago I got a new job working at a doctors office in Bountiful, it has been a lot of fun and the people are a lot of fun to work with. I love working with medicine and so I always get so excited when I see that someone is on the schedule that has something that can be interesting to see! Oh I am so lame!!

I guess the most recent thing that happened was my birthday. I am now getting old and it was sad when the cooks at work were guessing my age and they were guessing 27 and 28. I didn't think I looked that old but maybe I do! I had to go to school that morning and work all day so it wasn't super eventful but still fun! I was in the shower when my parents came in singing me happy birthday and I couldn't figure out why they couldn't have waited til I got out of the shower but I guess my dad had to leave. Well, when I got out there was a piece of cake with a candle sitting on the sink! When I got to work there was a huge card, balloons, cupcakes, cake and cheesecake for me. Man I was on one sugar high that day! That night an employee Taylor came in to eat (he is a funny character and I have many stories about him if you ever want to hear)and the owner Mike asked if he had wished me happy birthday? Next thing I know he is yelling across the restaurant "Excuse me everyone, excuse me. This is Emily and it is her birthday so lets sing to her!" The whole restaurant is singing and clapping and I am going bright red with embarrassment and Taylor is just laughing! The whole time the cooks are peeking around the corner to see what all of the commotion was about. Did I mention this was a busy Friday night? The restaurant was packed and we had a waiting list! After work I went to dinner with friends were we had a really weird waiter who just kept bringing us napkins. I kept thinking did I spill on me or something? And then of course they sang to me and I was embarrassed once again. All in all it was a great birthday full of lots of birthday wishes and lots of fun! Thanks everyone!

Sorry this is such a long post. I am going to try and take more pictures and post more often! I am also very impressed with anyone who made it this far!! I know I wouldn't have!
